Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Fukang has said that establishing and developing cultural ties between Maldives and China will bring the two nations closer.
He made the statement speaking in the ceremony held in Billabong to launch the Maldives - China Trade Cultural Organisation (MCTCO), remarking the importance of such an organization.
Ambassador Fukang said developing ties can be further strengthened by cultural understanding and commerce establishment. He said, therefore, he will welcome any and all initiatives to develop the relationship between the two countries. He added that the Free Trade Agreement will soon be signed.
In his address, the Ambassador noted the close relationship between the citizens of the two countries, including the leaders.
