Have fallen in love with Maldives in a short time: Mishra
Indian Ambassador to the Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has said that he had been able to spend only four months in the Maldives, but he had fallen in love with the country in a short period of time due to the unique characteristics of the Maldivians.

He made the statement in his address to the 7th Global Congress and Conferment Ceremony.

Mishra said the Maldives was blessed with natural beauty and that Maldivians were gifted. He said the language and culture was attractive to foreigners and that islam was progressing at a level respectable to all.

“I love Maldives, Maldivians are gracious,”

Mishra noted that India had managed to achieve success in spite of the cultural and religious differences in India. He said that by 2030, 25 percent of the global workforce will be Indian, noting that this was made possible due to the focus leaders had towards building education sector from 1947 onwards.

Mishra added that 400 million Indians had used internet, with 40 million completing university education and that the nation trains 3.2 million engineers per year. He further said the IT sector employed 3.5 million with an additional 300,000 jobs added to the sector.

Mishra was also conferred the Fellowship status from the Institute.
