Maldives Police Service has on Sunday arrested a fifth individual in relation to the death of Nadhaal Rasheed of Henveiru Dhoohimerige, who died after falling from the sixth floor of Machchangoalhi Beyrumatheege.
Two individuals aged 24 and the rest aged 21, 22 and 25—are in police custody over the death, all of them Maldivians.
Serious and Organized Crime Department Head Superintendent of Police Abdullah Shatheeh said four of those in the residence had been tested positive for cannabis. Police had previously said that Nadal’s blood had also tested positive for cannabis.
Nadal was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital due to the injuries.
