Destination presentation for Students
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) together with the Ministry of Tourism (MOT) are carrying out information sessions for Travel & Tourism students.


Schools covered so far under this campaign include Majeediyya School and Thoddoo School. Presentation was given to 35 students of Majeediyya School on 26th April and 45 students of Thoddoo School on 5 the students after the presentations.


This activity is a local campaign carried out as a part of ‘Visit Maldives Year 2016”. The main purpose of this campaign is to create awareness among students about the Visit Maldives Year and promote VMY locally as much as possible. Latest information about the tourism industry was provided to the students, furthermore information was also provided to the students about the different career opportunities available in the tourism industry of Maldives.

The Visit Maldives Year 2016 is a yearlong campaign to boost the tourism of the country, targeting a total of 1.5 million tourist arrivals during the year. A number of international and national events, competitions and awareness programs will be carried out by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation together with the Tourism Industry to display the richness of Maldives as a destination and portray Maldives as the exotic place it is, to the world.
