The newly renovated library and the website of the Islamic University has been launched.
The library was opened by Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham and the website was launched by Finance Minister Abdullah Jihad.
Speaking after the launch of the website, Minister Jihad said this was the age of technology and urged all to make the best use of the website.
University Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain said the University had to connect with other Universities to become a research university and that a huge fund was recognized.
“National University is already spending between 30 to 40 thousand for the initiative. The University needs financial resources for that,”
Dr. Zahir Hussain urged all to inculcate the habit of reading, stating that it was an important skill.
Web designer Abdullah Shafiu and Spce Arts Engineer Designer Hamda Ibrahim were commended for their work.
