Yesterday a German party had passed an Anti-Islam manifesto. AID had passed a manifesto that calls for a ban on hijab, mosques and prayer calls. AID said Islam contradicted German values; the party could become a serious contender in the next elections.
Germany is one country that had consistently expressed concerns over Maldives being a fully Islamic nation and had constantly advocated for a secular Maldives.
Head of Germany’s Central Muslim Council, Aiman Maziyek likened AID party’s manifesto to the Nazi Party actions, noting that this will divide the nation.
Actions can be taken against Muslims in Muslim minority nations but usually actions like that can only strengthen the resolve of those Muslims.
