ADK hospital has restarted the DEXA scan bone densitometry services.
The Hospital said that the services had been started after a brief halt to services.
ADK Managing Director Ahmed Af’aal said that prior to the halt, 60 patients had been seeking the service on a daily basis. He said that the number of patients seeking the service is expected to increase this time around.
Bone loss, weakness and osteoporosis is especially prevalent among thalassemia patients, women, elderly, smokers and alcohol consumers.
ADK had begun the services last Saturday. The Hospital says appointments will be made for patients from the main counter.
