President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today ratified the “Bill on Policy on State Wages”, passed by the Parliament at the 28th sitting of its first session, on 20th April 2016.
Following ratification, the Act has been published in the Government Gazette.
The Act on Policy on State Wages will standardize salary and wages of State employees according to a professional guideline. It also requires the formulation of a national salary structure, which will facilitate a better life for State employees.
