Dhiraagu nets MVR 664 million as first quarter earnings
Dhiraagu has publicized the first quarter report for this year.

The first quarter earnings for 2016 shows a 10 percent increase in earnings compared to last quarter of 2015. The first quarter earnings for Dhiraagu shows earnings of MVR 664 million. The earnings for the quarter show strong increases in mobile data, fixed broadband and high seasonal roaming.

Profits for the same period show that the company had earned MVR 255 as profits, which is also a bump compared to last year last quarter.

In the first quarter, the company had expanded customer services, improved customer communications, live chat service and introduced smart home service packages to the market. Additionally, 4GLTE services were launched in Haa Alif Dhihdhoo, with 56 percent of the market receiving 4GLTE services.

Dhiraagu is also the title sponsor of the largest and first franchise show, Maldivian Idol. Dhiraagu had also sponsored sailor Abdul Ghafoor Ali (Gabbe) initiative to sail around the country in a catamaran.
