Vice Chancellor Dr. Shaheem had made a courtesy call to Shaikul Azhar Dr. Ahmed Attayib.

Vice Chancellor of Maldives Islamic University, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed had made a courtesy call to Shaikul Azhar Dr. Ahmed Attayib.
During this meeting Vice Chancellor gave a brief introduction about Islamic University of Malives - IUM, and presented the vision and the objectives of the establishment of IUM by a decree in 2015 by His Excellency President Yaameen Abdul Gayyoom,President of Republic of Maldives.
Vice Chancellor expressed that IUM is the main center for Islamic Education in Maldives. In addition he stated that IUM is established based on the Institute of Islamic Studies, which was built with the help of Al- Azhar University.

Vice Chancellor also voiced that IUM require aid and assistance from Al-Azhar University for further advancement and development of IUM to which Shaikhul Azhar has gracefully concurred. Infact, Shaikhul Azhar further said that he will always have an exceptional regard for maldives and included that it was a joy to meet Vice Chancellor

This meeting was held in Shaikhul Azhar office on 27th April, and officials of Al-Azhar University also attended this meeting including the president of Al-Azhar Univeristy Dr. Ibrahim Al hud hud, Secretary General of Islamic Academy of Al-Azhar University Dr. Muhyidheen Afifi and the senior management of Al-Azhar University.
