President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has received a warm welcome as he returned to the country with the “Dr. Kalam Preskar of Excellence in Governance 2016” award, which was given to commemorate the memory of the late Indian President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He was received at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) by member of Cabinet and Parliament. He was also received by many members of public who had gathered there to welcome him.
Cultural demonstrations were carried out as well.
President Yameen has been commended for his efforts that earned him the award.
