Abdul Ghaoor Ali (Gabbe) has revealed that he and an additional sailor has earned the opportunity to take part in the World Sailing Championship.
Gabbe said that the opportunity was given to national sailing champions. He further said that he earned the opportunity for the trip around Maldives in a catamaran and that he had carried out many solo trips on vessels designed for two.
“But I will be sailing with Adam on the World Championship,” he said.
Gabbe said this was a national honor and a significant development for the sport in the country, as the competition was a truly global one, with five continents contesting in it.
Gabbe was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for Dhiraagu this evening. Dhiraagu had commended and congratulate Gabbe on the achievement.
