Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer has said that the Maldives was fast becoming the preferred destination for the Middle East tourists.
He made the statement speaking to various Arab medias.
Minister Zameer said that Maldives was renowned for peace, tranquility and beauty worldwide. He also said that this was fast coming to global attention.
“Maldives is one of the top destinations for family holidays,” he said.
Minister Zameer stressed that the Government was focusing on sustainable tourism. He said this has been greatly appreciated by the tourists. He also added that Maldives was ripe for Middle East investors.
Minister Zameer also noted that the nation’s tourism sector was also undergoing rapid development, especially the projects taken to develop the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
