Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI)’s President Abdulla Mohamed has said that the current government is a government which listens to the construction industry.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Abdulla Mohamed said that that the current government has been making beneficial decisions in construction industry of Maldives which will benefit the whole nation.
Abdulla Mohamed said that construction industry is an industry mostly ignored by the previous governments. He said that the construction industry is at rock bottom because of this.
Abdulla Mohamed noted that many companies who take projects through bids have to face many difficulties because of sudden raise in the price of construction commodities. He said that they have been trying to resolve that issue by including a clause in the contract throughout the years but it has not yet been implemented because of the disregard of leaders to the construction industry.
Abdulla Mohamed noted that the developments in any of the industries of Maldives are a development to the whole nation which will benefit the people of Maldives.
Abdulla Mohamed said that these problems were presented to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and he has resolved those issues. He said that this shows the concern of President Yameen to the construction industry of Maldives.
