Senior Advisor to the UN Department of Political Affairs, Mr. Tamrat Samuel paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom at the President’s Office yesterday morning.
During the meeting the President and the Senior Advisor held discussions to help the Government with technical assistance in moving forward with the Political Party Talks, initiated by the Government of Maldives.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Aishath Shiham, Foreign Secretary Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed and Under Secretary at the President’s Office, Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
Mr. Samuel was accompanied by a high level delegation of the UN Department of Political Affairs.
