(vnews): State Trading Organization (STO) had signed an agreement with Maldives Association for Construction Industry (MACI) to provide them with the construction equipment required by the company, in an attempt to solve the difficulties in importing and purchasing such equipment.
During a ceremony held at the main office of STO on Thursday evening, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on behalf of MACI by Vice President of the company, Alaau Ali, while Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim signed on behalf of the company.
Azim revealed that under the MOU, construction equipment will be provided for government projects at a cheap rate.
Vice President of MACI, Alaau said that this would be a big encouragement in completing unfinished government projects which have been put on halt due to various difficulties.
