Dhiraagu customers, earnings rise
Telecommunications provider Dhiraagu has revealed that the customers and earnings for 2015 had increased.

The annual report, revealing this was released on 12th April 2016.

The annual report for 2015 stated the customer base had increased to 400,000 with earnings rising to MVR 2.3 billion. In 2014, MVR 2.1 billion was recorded as earnings. For 2015, MVR 725 million was recorded as profits, while in 2014 MVR 701 million was earned as profits.

In 2015, Dhiraagu had invested MVR 358 million to improve services provided to customers, adding that 100 percent of post-tax profits will be distributed as dividends.

Last year, Dhiraagu had provided 3G broadband services to all inhabited islands, with 4G services provided to 58 percent of the population. The company had also introduced fiber broadband service, up to 100 MBPS.

Dhiraagu had reduced prices of mobile data by 40 percent and revamped the mobile data packages based on customer needs.

The final dividend for 2015 and annual report for 2015 will be passed in the company’s 27th AGM, which will be held on 26th April 2016.
