The Riyad Travel Fair 2016 has begun in a colorful ceremony, with six local companies yesterday. The Fair was inaugurated by Saudi Chamber of Commerce’s Secretary General Umar Bahalwa.
The Fair is the largest, fastest growing trade fair and provides the biggest networking opportunities in Riyad. Last year, 219 companies and 17,573 visitors took part. This year, companies from over 50 countries is taking part, with an estimate of 25,000 visitors expected to attend the Fair.
MATATO said the Fair provides excellent networking opportunities for Maldivian companies with Arab tour networks and travel agents, in addition to potential tourists.
MATATO added that Maldivian companies had previously taken part in the Fair, but on an individual basis. All arrangements for this year’s Fair was arranged by MATATO, the company said.
