Home Minister Umar Naseer has stated that there are people with mischievous motives who suddenly become journalists overnight to achieve their sinister goals.
Answering a question raised by Miadhu Daily at the press conference held yesterday, the Minister said that such fake journalists should be stopped as their main goal is to create chaos and strife in the society.
The Minister noted that there are many genuine journalists who do commendable work in trying to bring the latest news to the public.
Home Minister Umar said that the government will give opportunities for true journalists and there will be no obstruction or any difficulty caused by the government upon them.
He reiterated that the government will protect the rights of the journalists.
Umar Naseer said that the media council election was postponed to protect the rights of genuine journalists.
