President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has revealed that a mass program to train employees for tourism sector is to begin soon.
Speaking in the launching ceremony of the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport expansion project held last night in Dharubaaruge. He said the tourism sector was undergoing rapid expansion, with many resorts set to open during the few years ahead.
President Yameen added that due to this, thousands of jobs will be created and unless locals were appointed to the job, it would have to be filled by expatriates.
