US Ambassador to Maldives and Sri Lanka Atul Keshap has met with the President of Jumhooree Party Qasim Ibrahim.
At the meeting held at party headquarters Kunooz, the ambassador and Qasim held talks about the political situation in Maldives. The purpose of the meeting, initiated by the US Ambassador, was to get an understanding of the current political situation in Maldives.
In addition to Qasim, a number of senior party officials participated in the meeting.
They include; Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan, Deputy Leader of JP; Abdulla Riyaz, Vice President of JP’s PG Group; Moosa Nizar, MP for Keyodhoo constituency; Ustad Ali Hussain, MP for Kendhoo constituency; Hussain Mohamed, MP for Mathiveri constituency and Faisal Naseem, MP for Kaashidhoo constituency.
