Cashier, photography training program started
Economic Ministry and Education Ministry had begun to train 2000 individuals as cashiers and photographers.

Speaking in the ceremony held tonight in Dharubaaruge, Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham said the individuals will be traned to certificate levels three and four. She added those individuals will be given the opportunity to pursue education at certificate level five and further higher education.

Dr. Aishath Shiham said the photography course graduates will be given the opportunity to get professional cameras from Economic Ministry.

She highlighted on the close relationship between the tourism sector and photography, stating that photographers acted preserving the memories of tourists.

Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed had assured that all graduates will be given job opportunities. He added that a budget of MVR 8 million had been allocated to purchase cameras for the initiative to buy cameras.

He thanked and commended President Yameen’s decision to ensure that all photographers and cashiers have to be locals.

The two Ministers had signed the MOU for the initiative.
