Kaashidhoo Constituency MP Faisal Naseem has proposed to nullify double incentives for a sole individual.
Speaking in today’s Parliament session, Faisal Naseem said that nullifying incentives and privileges for one group of individuals was not acceptable.
He said that only a limited number of people were elected officials, adding that most served in political positions and private companies. Faisal added that in this case, cutting the incentives for a few group of individuals was not justified.
He stressed the rules had to be the same for all.
Faisal appealed to Committee members to reflect on these aspects in reviewing the motion.
