Home Minister Umar Naseer has ordered Maldives Correctional Services to transfer Adhaalath Party Chief Sheikh Imran Abdullah and former Defense Minister Thal’hath Ibrahim Kaleyfaan to house arrest.
A tweet posted by the Minister said that he had ordered “MCS to close down the SPU in Asseyri for the required maintenace and transfer the occupants (Imran & Tholath) to house arrest”.
Correctional Services said that Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham had just ordered to close Special Protection Unit (SPU), on the order of Home Minister Umar Naseer.
