The activities held in Male’ to mark the Autism Day had been carried out successfully.
Minister of Law and Gender Minister Mohamed Anil, Health Minister Irthisham Adam along with many citizens took part in the walk and bicycle ride carried out this evening.
The two ministers had pledged assistance to helping autistic children and protecting their rights. Anantara Dhigurah resort had donated MVR 3888 to help the children.
The Maldives Autism Association had noted the Government’s assistance had increased over the years. The Association especially thanked First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim for her special focus on improving the status of autistic children.
Former President Mohamed Waheed Hassan and his wife Ilham Hussain, who also is also the chair of the Association, took part in the day’s activities.
