MMA reserves increase in February by 19%
The MMA reserves for February, compared to January, had increased by 19 percent. MMA added that the amount is a 10 percent rise compared to the figure compared to that of the previous year.

MMA said that the usable reserve had also increased by 26 percent month on month, which is a 44 percent on an annual basis.

The report released by MMA said that at the end of February the official reserves was at US$702.5 million, with US$248.2 million as usable reserve.

MMA said the reserves had risen due to an increase in state earnings.

While currencies in Sri Lank and India had devalued, Maldivian Rufiyaa had increased in value.
