Visiting Saudi businesses have expressed interest in investing in the Maldives.
Speaking in a forum held in Hotel Jen this afternoon, the Saudi businessmen said that there was a substantial market for Saudi products in the Maldives. As such, he said that they were interested in investing in the Maldives.
The businesses also noted that the operation of direct flights of the Saudi Air will usher in more business opportunities between the two nations.
Saudi exporters also expressed interest in opening a show room for Saudi products.
Food and textile producers and construction companies took part in the discussions. Economic Ministry and Customs had clarified participants on the economic and business acts of the country.
