Head of Crime Investigation Command ACP Abdullah Nawaz has stated that the bodies of the Police are not exempt or special.
Speaking to press in Iskandar building, Nawaz said that even if a Police personnel had committed a crime, then they would be held to scrutiny and action will be implemented.
Nawaz added that some parties, such as the media, had “highlighted” certain sections of the Police in an attempt to defame the agency, noting that Police will not carry out such acts. He said that heads of Police will not hesitate in taking action against any officer who had acted against the mandate of the Police.
“Do not assume that the SO is a body that has special privileges. All bodies in Police functions as one entity. Police is working to serve the public, where specialists, crime command or forensics,” he said.
Nawaz had appealed not to paint the Police in a negative or privileged group to the public.
