Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said that the government will not give anyone any chance to mock Islam and if someone does it then he or she will be stopped.
Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed made this remark speaking to Miadhu Daily, answering a question regarding the blocking of some websites spreading anti-Islamic messages targeted against Maldivians.
“Even according to the law it is banned in Maldives,” he said.
He said that the government will always work to protect the welfare of Islam in the Maldives. He said that the government also helps the tourists.
Ilyas said that some websites which were spreading anti Islamic material were blocked yesterday.
Some of the websites blocked include internet streaming audios and songs.
