Environment Ministry’s State Minister Abdullah Majeed, has stated that the major weather tracking equipment was damaged.
Speaking in the ceremony held this evening in Rasfannu, to mark the World Weather Day, Abdullah Majeed said that radars were among the damaged equipment.
“It is a regrettable incident. The Government had constantly provided the required the resources. We hope that the resources will be received soon,” he said.
He urged to increase the effectiveness of climate change awareness activities run in the country.
Abdullah Majeed added that the message proliferation of the initiatives needed to be increased so that the message reached to all citizens.
