The MOU for the installation of the water plant in Thinadhoo has been signed with a Dubai firm.
Speaking in the signing ceremony in FENAKA Corporation, FENAKA MD Mohamed Nimal said that the agreement had signed with Dubai’s Corodex Industries LLC for MVR 3.628 million.
Nimal added that the decision to install another water plant was passed after taking into consideration the additional increasing needs of the island.
“The current plants does not have that capacity to generate for the needs. The additional generators are brought in under a special budget arranged by Finance Ministry.
He added that the installation of the plant will be completed by July and in operation by August. The plants will be able to generate 450 metric tons of water daily.
