State Trading Organization (STO) has stated that an STO electronics showroom will be opened in the Umar Shopping Arcade constructed by the company.
Speaking to the media at the press conference held at the STO Head office, STO Managing Director Adam Azim said that the construction work is going in a steady speed and it is expected to finish on April 1st next year.
Adam Azim said that the first three floors of the building will be allocated for STO electronics show room selling state of the art electronics.
In view of the STO pharmacy project, Adam Azim said that the project is continuing so far very successfully.
He said that a big pharmacy will be opened in Thinadhoo as the island will be the regional supplier.
“We have also handed over the project of constructing a pharmacy in Addu City Feydhoo. The people of that region now have to travel all the way to Hithadhoo to get medicine,” he said.
STO is making efforts to open Aasandha health scheme available pharmacies in every inhabited island of Maldives. In this regard, STO has opened 26 pharmacies under this project so far.
