Member of Parliament for Maamigilee Constituency Qasim Ibrahim has remarked that achievements of the Government in the past six months was remarkable.
He made the statement speaking in the inauguration ceremony of the clean water system in Maamigilee Island in Alif Dhaal Atoll.
Qasim said that even now there were many projects run in the islands. He also noted that the finances for the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) development project, Male’ Hulhumale’ Bridge and a multitude of other projects had been initiated in the past few months.
Qasim noted that the bridge project was tied to the future of the nation and aspirations of the public.
He said that the President was a man of action and not words. He added that he had supported President Yameen’s manifesto in 2013 and that the implementation of that manifesto gladdened him.
“President Yameen had initiated many projects in the health sector, education and national development sectors, to a level unprecedented in the nation’s history. I commend the President on his long range vision,” he said.
Qasim Ibrahim said that this was an initiative that was deeply needed by the citizens of the island.
