Capable doctors treat even most critical patients: Af’aal
ADK Managing Director Ahmed Af’aal has stated that in the 29 years the Hospital has been in operation, the services of the hospital was a benchmark in the nation’s health sector.

Speaking in a ceremony held yesterday in the hospital, Af’aal said that even the most critical patients were treated by the capable doctors at the hospital.

He added that the biggest achievement for the hospital was the trust of the patients, which is demonstrated by the high number of recurring patients seeking treatment from the hospital.

Af’aal further said that the aim of the hospital was to improve the standards and services given at the hospital and the standards of the doctors and nurses at the hospital.

Af’aal said that any hospital can bring in resources but it would not be effective if there were no trained professionals.

“Even now the most number of services providers in the health sector are foreigners. We have to give focus on developing locals to those positions,” he said.

Af’aal added that the hospital had trained MMBS doctors, dentists and surgeons, in addition to other sectors, including nurses. He noted that the hospital was building a facility to train nurses and developing teaching curriculums. He also noted that the program was run with Thai and Malaysian services providers.

“We have registered a school of health sciences to begin the academy. The school will focus on training professionals while in the country,” he said.

Af’aal thanked Health Ministry and the customers of the hospital for their assistance and patronage respectively.
