President Yameen sends message of sympathy to the Turkish President
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to the President of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following the car bombing in Ankara.
The President’s message reads as follows;
“I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the car bombing in the capital Ankara, causing the tragic loss of life and injury to many.”
“The Maldives strongly condemns all acts of terror and violence perpetuated against innocent people and believes that they serve no purpose other than causing absolute misery. We are fully committed to the fight against terrorism and express our firm solidarity with Turkey in all its efforts to maintain national peace and harmony.”
“The Government and the people of the Maldives join me in conveying our deepest sympathies to the Government and people of Turkey during this difficult time. Please also convey our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.”
