Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed has said that the Police will be accountable for police oversight authorities regarding the investigations conducted by police.
He made this remark speaking at the ceremony held at Haa Dhaalu Hanimadhoo Police Station.
The commissioner said that disclosing every detail of the investigations conducted by Police will compromise the investigation is not therefore always possible.
He therefore said that it is not plausible for anyone to hold protests because the Police do not reveal every detail of their investigations to the public or the media.
During the meeting the Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudi also spoke. He appealed all to work with the Police to create a peaceful and stable environment in all islands.
