MTCC has said that the demand for the AC ferry service, launched last Thursday, is increasing.
Speaking to Miadhu, MTCC Transport Department’s Manager Shaneez said that even though the service was launched on Thursday, the service officially began late Friday night.
He said that based on Saturday’s service, they had conducted 50 percent of the operations on the AC ferries.
Shaneez said that as of now only one AC ferry is used, running once every hour. He added that the service is given in addition to the normal ferries and as such, will benefit the public immensely.
The rides on the AC ferries cost MVR 10 per person per ride and lasts 15 minutes.
