President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy, to the President of Turkey His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following the deadly bomb blast in Ankara, causing loss of lives and injury to many.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“It was with deep shock and sorrow that I learnt of the deadly blast in Ankara, causing loss of lives and injury to many.”
“The Maldives strongly condemns all acts of terrorism and violence perpetuated against innocent people and believes that they serve no purpose other than causing absolute misery. We are fully committed to the fight against terrorism and will continue to work closely with the Turkish Government and the International community in eliminating this global threat.”
“The Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying our deepest sympathies to the Government and people of Turkey during this challenging time
