Amin Construction has been tasked with the project to install a second RO plant in Male’ to increase the water supply in the country.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony held yesterday in MWSC. CEO Ibrahim Fazul and Managing Director Abdullah Ahmed signed the MOU on behalf of MWSC and Amin Construction, respectively.
The building will be constructed near the FSM premises, with MWSC spending MVR 3.8 million on the project. The project is to be completed in four months.
Once the building is completed a 5000 cubic feet RO plant will be placed in the area. Hitachi will supply the RO plant.
President Abdulla Yameen had pledged to install two additional RO plants in Male’ in order to prevent a repetition of the water crisis of 2014.
