Member of Parliament for Makunudhoo Constituency Anaaraa Naeem has said that raising a case against one person for a crime that many had committed was unfair.
Speaking in yesterday’s Parliament session, MP Anaaraa said that it was wholly unfair that Sheikh Imran alone was being tried for his statements given on May Day, while others had done the same.
Anaaraa said that calm and peace cannot be established in the country, while justice was being cherry picked, stressing that the rule of law has to be the same for every single citizen.
The final hearings for Adhaalath Party Chief Sheikh Imran is to be held today.
