Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has stated that President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom will take part in the ITB fair to be held in Germany this March.
MMPRC said that Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer will also take part in the fair as well.
A gala dinner and a Maldivian evening is to be held in the fair.
Speaking in the information session held on Thursday on the ITB fair, MMPRC said that as this year marked the Golden Jubilee of ITB and the Visit Maldives Year, this fair was essential to the country and ITB.
Maldives is the Host Country this year and as such, MMPRC said that Maldives will be focus of this year’s fair. Three stalls had been reserved for the country and the space for the stalls have been increased. Over 40 stalls have been reserved for local businesses. MMPRC added that promotional activities will be carried out in all of the stalls.
MMPRC said that resorts will demonstrate their projects on environment protection, solar energy generation and coral regeneration.
