The New Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Maldives, Mr. Hamza Yahia-Sherif called on His Excellency Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Foreign Secretary of Maldives today.
At a meeting held at the Foreign Ministry this afternoon, the Foreign Secretary welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on presenting his Credentials. The Foreign Secretary also noted the close ties between Maldives and Algeria, and discussed cooperation on matters of mutual concern, in the international arena.
The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Secretary was accompanied by Ms. Farzana Zahir, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Maryam Bassama Farooq, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
