SOF lawyer has added confusion and additional speculation into the largest misappropriation case in the country’s recent history.
A statement released by SOF lawyer, Husnu Suood, said that he had given an interview to Raajje TV regarding the MMPRC Audit Report based on the information in the SOF press statement and the remarks by the Company Director.
The former Attorney General Husnu Suood had previously asserted that the money transferred to SOF Private Limited from MMPRC was transferred to Villa Company and Universal Enterprises Private Limited. The initial allegation was that the cash transferred to Villa and Universal were payments for services rendered from SOF. He had apologized for the allegations, calling them an error of judgement.
If that was the case, then any payments made to and from SOF to various other local companies such as STELCO, MWSC, Dhiraagu and Ooredoo can also be seen as corruption. The allegations made by the lawyer had caused clear confusion and irreparable to the damage. Husnu Suoodh is one of the most talented and prominent lawyers in the country, causing many to question his judgment and ability to litigate.
