Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Dr. Aishath Azeema has said that the Maldives needs laws to develop Islamic Banking in the country.
Dr. Azeema made this remark speaking ath the Islamic Banking and Finance Conference’s concluding ceremony held at the Islamic Center’s hall yesterday.
She said that Islamic Banking is very important for Maldives. She underscored the importance of making new laws to widen and develop Islamic Banking in the country.
She said that Islamic Banking plays a vital role in recovering he economic crunch faced by the world today.
Dr. Azeema noted that Islamic Banking is not only used in Muslim countries but many world countries today is choosing Islamic Banking.
