MDA Leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has said that that pleasures and riches and development assured by the Western powers for the Middle East had not been realized, but instead, the region had earned nothing but war, conflict and trying times.
Speaking in the opening ceremony at the new port in Kudafari Island held Monday evening.
Siyam said that all western powers had invaded and unseated legitimate rulers, promising riches, freedoms and democracy. He further said that Iraqis, Libyans and Syrians had fallen prey to this and that the results of this is currently depicted to the entire world.
“The citizens of those nations are fleeing to Europe to escape bombs and fighting. They are housed in asylum houses and camps. They are slowly dying there,” he said.
Siyam further said that savior message was being aimed and promoted to the Maldives. He said that regretfully some Maldivians had fallen into this trap, acting as agents, some of them which belong to opposition MDP.
Siyam urged all to reject such advances made under the name of democracy, revert to nationalism and national pride and unity in these trying times.
