Home Minister ruled out any possibility of his resignation or him joining forces with the opposition MDP.
Speaking to Miadhu regarding social media rumors that he was resigning, Minister Umar said that those rumors were started by those who wished to alienate him from the Government and force an alliance with MDP.
“To them I want to say that one, I’m not resigning and two, I will never join MDP,” said the Minister.
This is not the first time Minister Umar had rejected the possibility of an alliance with MDP. While all parties had allied with MDP in 2008, he had refused. He had on many occasions had said that MDP will never wish any good on the nation.
