MDP and Kulhudhuffushi North Constituency MP Abdul Ghafoor has warned that within six months, the government will be changed.
He made the statement, addressing the rally held this evening against the alleged corruption perpetrated by the Government. Ghafoor said that the entire world was calling for a regime change in the Maldives and that there was no stopping to such actions.
He also called to take action if the MDP government had carried out any acts of corruption during their tenure.
Ghafoor made the statement, alluding the statement made by President Yameen during his state of the nation address, in which he said that the government will begin legal proceedings to get back the amounts misappropriated from the state.
Auditor General had previously issued reports, after investigating the acts carried out during the three years of MDP leadership.
The Government had alleged that any regime change was brought into the country in order to facilitate proliferation of other religions, adding that Maldivians will not allow such a move.
