Parliament repair to begin this year
Parliament Secretariat has revealed that the repair of the Parliament will begin this year.
It has been confirmed to Miadhu that the aid given by Pakistan towards the repair of the Parliament has already been received by the Secretariat.
A senior figure at the Parliament Secretariat reported that Mauroof Jameel, the Minister in charge of administrating the construction of the current Parliament building, is the consultant for the repair.
The infrastructure of the Parliament House is in disrepair; technical experts have attributed this to the recent electricity shortage in the Parliament.
It is expected that the ten storey building in the Parliament grounds will be completed and in operational this year.
