STO takes part in Hajj scheme
State Trading Organization (STO) has taken part in the Hajj Corporation scheme to send their employees to Hajj.

The agreement was signed Sunday afternoon held in STO main office. Managing Director Ahmed Shaheer signed the agreement on behalf of STO, with Managing Director Yameen Idhris signing the agreement on behalf of Hajj Corporation.

Speaking after the ceremony, Shaheer said that STO had taken part in the scheme so that STO employees can attend the pilgrimage at the earliest possible time. He said that under this scheme, the employees can easily make their pilgrimage and that the participants had the option to include their parents, spouse or children in the scheme.

Shaheer thanked Hajj Corporation and the Government for their schemes that have made Hajj possible for citizens.

Yameen Idhris said that STO, as one of the largest companies in the market, signing up for the scheme was a welcoming decision by the Corporation. He added that this was especially significant as the scheme was introduced only very recently.

He further noted that STO had been providing assistance to the Corporation since the formation of the Corporation. He said that STO had been a key partner in Government sponsored religious programs as well.

STO is the main sponsor of the bags supplied to pilgrims in the Hajj Corporation contingent.
