STO Group has said that the Group has been providing emergency relief aid to the citizens of Gaaf Dhaal Thinadhoo, currently living without electricity and basic services due to the fire in Thinadhoo power plant.
STO said that the Group’s Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) had already sent a boat with 5000 liters of kerosene and 70000 liters of diesel today. STO added that these items have been provided to the public via the Council without any cost.
Additionally, STO said that their vessels were used to transport the generators to the island from Male; and Addu City.
The company further said that a water shipment from STO supermarket will be dispatched tomorrow to be delivered to Thinadhoo for citizens in need of drinking water.
